鈥淚daho Booker鈥檚 Dozen鈥� is the result of a biennial juried competition held by Idaho Center for the Book鈥檚 Stephanie Bacon.  According to the first 鈥淏ooker鈥檚 Dozen鈥� exhibit catalog, 鈥淏ooks may be nontraditional codex-format works, such as accordion fold, rivet, spiral or ring-bound, loose-leaf/boxed, sculptural or die cut books. They may be traditionally bound codices with 鈥榚ccentric鈥� features, such as pop-ups, folded pages, inserts, pull-tabs, or volvelles. Or they may be conventionally bound books made with or containing unconventional materials or artifacts." 

The 13 books in this year鈥檚 exhibit represent many of those forms, and display a fascinating level of imagination and creativity. 

The theme this year was 鈥淭he places they鈥檝e been, the things they noticed and what happened then.鈥�  The books selected for it were created by artists in California, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Oregon, Washington and Idaho. 

The exhibit is free and open to the public whenever the Oboler Library is open. The library is located at 850 South Ninth Ave. on the 麻豆传媒AV campus in Pocatello.
