The ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) has announced that it has moved to 100% open access publishing. Authors whose works have been accepted for publication will be charged no publication fees and all articles will be openly published.
In another 2026 development, the University Libraries has entered into an agreement with the publisher, Elsevier, to maintain its Elsevier journal subscriptions for three years in exchange for a modest annual inflation rate and the waiver of open access publishing fees for 11 ISU authors whose work has been accepted for publication in an Elsevier journal each year.
