No. PD and PD+ courses are open enrollment.  Students do not need to apply for admission at 麻豆传媒AV. However, students taking PD+ courses must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution at the time they enroll the course.

Changes to courses are focused on increasing high-quality content that delivers real-world tools which can be applied within the classroom once you complete our courses. Our changes are about making learning deeper, more meaningful, and more aligned with what teachers want and need within the classroom. Our courses are designed to be transformational, not transactional.

If you enrolled in courses prior to September 1, 2026, you will have 12 months from the date you enrolled to complete the course with no need to enroll in our new system.

A student’s first transcript request is provided at no cost. Any additional transcript requests are the student’s responsibility and are subject to the applicable transcript fee.

No. Form 1098-T is not filed for students. Albion PD courses are recorded as clock hours and documented as Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory (S/U) on an official university transcript. Albion PD+ courses are recorded as graduate credits, including letter grades (A–F). Both clock hours and graduate credits will appear on the same transcript, when applicable.

In order for PD+ courses to count towards a master’s degree at ISU, any student must first complete their course(s) and then apply to 麻豆传媒AV’s Graduate School.  If admitted into an ISU graduate program, the student will then work with their advisor to file a to apply an Albion Center course(s) toward their degree requirements.

Effective for the 2026-27 academic year, admitted ISU graduate students may to apply up to six Albion Center credits toward a Master’s degree within the College of Education.

Albion Center PD+ courses are priced to be affordable and accessible for practicing educators. The price point is significantly discounted from what ISU graduate students pay in tuition. Therefore, in fairness to ISU graduate students, we limit the number of Albion Center credits that are petitionable.

As the name implies, a petition is not guaranteed. However, the Albion Center will work with students and ISU’s School of Education to identify courses that will articulate to master’s degree programs within the School.

Yes. Students must hold a baccalaureate degree in order to enroll in a PD+ course. PD+ courses are graduate-level courses listed in ISU’s . These courses are specifically designed to carry the same quality and rigor of master’s level courses and meet the and definition of a “credit hour”.

All PD and PD+ courses are fully online and self-paced, allowing students to complete coursework at their convenience and on a schedule that works best for them.

PD and PD+ courses are asynchronous, self-paced courses developed by educators who hold at least a master’s degree and have classroom experience.  

• PD courses offer students opportunity for self-directed learning.
• PD+ courses are supported by instructors of record. Students will receive timely, personalized feedback and ongoing support from a live instructor throughout the course.

PD courses are available in 15-, 30-, or 45-clock-hour options and provide instructional content and an expected commensurate level of self-directed student effort.

For PD+ courses, one credit hour assumes 15 hours of instruction (and approximately twice this amount of time in study and preparation outside of instructional time) for a total of 45 hours of student effort.  For example, for a one credit course completed over 15 weeks, the credit hours should be thought of on a weekly basis of three hours of total work per credit hour, the equivalent of one hour of instructional time plus two hours of student preparation.

Enrollment periods for each PD+ course: For all Albion PD+ courses, students are enrolled for a defined period based on the course’s credit value:

• 1-credit course: 90 days
• 1.5 credit course: 120 days
• 2-credit course: 120 days
• 3-credit course: 150 days

The enrollment period begins for each course on the date in which the course was registered and paid for. Students will retain access to the learning management system and all associated course content throughout the full enrollment period.  At the end of the applicable 90, 120 or 150-day period, the course enrollment will officially close. Students can expect their final grade to be posted no later than seven business days after the enrollment period ends. Once the grade has been finalized and posted, students may request an official transcript. 

Enrollment periods for PD course: For all Albion PD courses, students are enrolled for a total of 6 months (180 days) for each course. The enrollment period begins on the date in which the course was registered and paid for. Students will retain access to the learning management system and all associated course content throughout the full enrollment period. Once the grade has been finalized and posted, students may request an official transcript.

Minimum enrollment and grading policy for PD+: Courses are designed for 45 hours of learning per credit. For each course, there is an expected ratio of approximately one hour of instructional engagement to two hours of independent work, including readings, assignments, assessments, projects, and other required learning activities. Therefore, our expectation is that students will engage with each unique course for a minimum of 16 calendar days for a 1 credit course and 24 days for a 1.5 credit course before submitting it for final evaluation. These requirements represent the minimum expectations. Students are strongly encouraged to engage fully with the course content and devote sufficient time to thoughtfully and thoroughly complete all course requirements, which is why we provide full course access for 90 days for a one-credit course and 120 days for a 1.5-credit course, beginning on the date of enrollment.  

The course is not considered final until the instructor has evaluated the submitted work and assigned a final grade. Instructors make every reasonable effort to provide timely feedback and provide a final grade if all coursework and requirements are completed by the student before the enrollment period ends; however, early grading is not guaranteed. A final grade will be posted no later than seven business days after the enrollment period concludes.

Your enrollment period is the maximum amount of time you have access to complete your course. Your minimum enrollment period is the minimum amount of time you must be enrolled in the course before submitting it for final evaluation.

A course is considered complete on the date the student fulfills all course requirements, including all required assignments and the post-course survey. Once completed, students may access their account and print an unofficial document showing course completion. However, a course is not considered finalized until a grade is assigned on a student's transcript. Once the course is completed, students can expect to be able to obtain their transcript from the National Student Clearinghouse within seven (7) business days from the date a course is completed. Transcripts are the only official student record.

Progress for PD courses can be viewed through your Moodle ISU Community account. Progress for PD+ courses can be viewed through your Canvas account. Final grades for all courses will be recorded on your official transcript.

The minimum enrollment period for Albion PD courses is based on the course length:

• 15 clock hours: 2 calendar days
• 30 clock hours: 4 calendar days
• 45 clock hours: 6 calendar days

These minimums are based on an assumption of students working approximately eight hours per day on coursework, comparable to a full-day professional development workshop or in-service. Students must still complete all required learning activities and demonstrate that they have met the course requirements, regardless of the minimum enrollment period.

Albion PD courses are graded as Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory (S/U) and are recorded on the student’s official transcript accordingly. Courses are graded as quickly as possible, and transcripts are typically available within one week after a course has been graded and finalized; however, this timeline is not guaranteed. A final grade will be posted no later than seven business days after the enrollment period concludes.

Your course completion percentage reflects the activities you have completed within the learning management system and may not reach 100% for several reasons. For example, you may not have completed all required activities, marked an activity as complete, or reached the minimum enrollment period for the course.

The course completion percentage does not directly determine your final grade. Your final grade is based on completing the required coursework and meeting the course requirements. Please follow the instructions provided within your course for information about required activities and completion.

A course is considered complete when the student has fulfilled all course requirements, including all required assignments and the post-course survey. However, a course is not considered finalized until the instructor has evaluated the submitted work and assigned a final grade.

Courses are graded as quickly as possible once all of the requirements of the course have been met by the student. . A final grade will be posted no later than seven business days after the enrollment period concludes. Once the grade has been finalized and posted to the student’s official transcript, students may request an official transcript to view their final grade. Transcripts are the official student record.

We collect students’ dates of birth to help verify identity and prevent the creation of duplicate accounts and reporting. All demographic and personally identifiable information we collect is handled securely and kept confidential in accordance with the ISU privacy policy and FERPA standards.

The Albion Center does not complete, sign, verify, or submit forms, documents, or letters provided by students or third parties. We are also unable to fill in or provide information on third-party forms or documentation. Transcripts are a student’s only official document of record.

While the flexibility of our self-paced courses allows students to work according to their own schedules, students should carefully consider the time commitment required to ensure a meaningful learning experience before registering for multiple courses at the same time. 

We do not recommend that students enroll in more than 6 PD+ credits at a time. For enrolled graduate students, .
