One of the metrics for the Gem State Public Health AmeriCorps is to increase, expand, and enhance the capacity of existing programs and services offered by nonprofits and public health organizations. The IRH measures these changes by having the AmeriCorps members perform a SWOT Analysis and Organizational Needs Assessment. SWOT stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats, the SWOT analysis is a technique for assessing these four aspects. The other metrics are the Pre, Mid, and Post-Intervention Surveys done by the host site staff in order to ensure that our Gem Members are providing organizational capacity growth in the public health sector.
