ICCU gifts ISU College of Technology $450,000 worth of tech equipment

POCATELLO – The holidays came early for the Â鶹´«Ã½AV College of Technology in the form of information technology equipment valued at about $450,000 that was given to ISU Information Technology Systems program by Idaho Central Credit Union (ICCU) in mid-November.

POCATELLO – Joselynn Castillo wasn’t even going to apply for the Maná Scholarship because she thought there was no way she could win a national scholarship. However, with the encouragement of her mother, she applied and was one of 15 students selected out of a pool of 1,200 to receive a $10,000 scholarship.

Congressman Simpson visits ISU campus to honor Construction Combine program

ISU nuclear engineering professor receives $800,000 grant for materials science research

IDAHO FALLS – Â鶹´«Ã½AV nuclear engineering Associate Professor Mary Lou Dunzik-Gougar is the principal investigator on a $800,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Energy Nuclear Energy University Program to study itsy-bitsy, teeny-tiny, 10-to-the-minus-6-meter materials to determine their strength to support development of new nuclear fuels.

ISU Physics and Pocatello Kiwanis to host a Haunted Science Lab Oct. 26

POCATELLO – The Â鶹´«Ã½AV Department of Physics and the Kiwanis Club of Pocatello will host a Haunted Science Laboratory exhibit open to the public on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 4 to 9 p.m. in the old Pocatello Street Operations Building at 1080 South First Ave. in Pocatello. 

ISU IEEE Career Exploration Series to be held Oct. 15

POCATELLO – Â鶹´«Ã½AV’s Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineering (IEEE) club will host a Career Exploration Series on Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. in the Pond Student Union Middle Fork Room. The purpose of this event is to expose students to different career specialties within the electrical engineering field.
