Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV TRIO receives two Upward Bound grants worth more than $3 Million

POCATELLO – Higher education is a different language, and it is easy to hit roadblocks if you are not raised knowing how to navigate it. This is why Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV’s TRIO program has renewed the Upward Bound and Upward Bound Math Science (UBMS) grants this year. Combined, the two grants provide more than $3 million of support for ISU students.

Renowned poet Christopher Howell to visit Pocatello, reading Nov. 8

POCATELLO – Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV’s Department of English and Philosophy will host poet Christopher Howell for a poetry reading on Nov. 8 at 5:30 p.m. in ISU Pond Student Union Bengal Café.

POCATELLO – Pocatello’s own Ty Peterson will be featured in the Warren Miller ski movie “Line of Descent” when it shows at 7 p.m. Nov. 4 at Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV’s Frazier Hall and he’ll also be present at the showing signing posters and sharing his experiences.

POCATELLO — Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV physical therapist assistant students have joined the fight in the opioid epidemic by promoting the #choosePT movement, a national campaign to inform the public about physical therapy as an option for pain control.

ISU nursing professor Mary Nies receives $50,000 award to study prediabetes in Idaho’s Latino population

POCATELLO-Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV professor and director of nursing research, Mary Nies, is the recipient of a $50,000 funding award to study diabetes prevention in Idaho’s rural Latino communities.

College of Business’s CEED program receives $100,000 from U.S. Bank

The U.S. Bank Foundation has generously made a three-year, $100,000 investment in the Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV College of Business to sustain and grow the Center for Entrepreneurship and Economic Development (CEED).

POCATELLO – The Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV Department of Music will present the 32nd Annual ISU Choral Invitational Festival Concert on Saturday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m. in the Joseph C. and Cheryl H. Jensen Grand Concert Hall in the L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center.
