POCATELLO – On many mornings this summer, Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV geosciences undergraduate student Alyssa DeSmit has been hiking up the Gibson Jack Creek, often accompanied by ISU geosciences Masters student Thane Kindred, to measure the quality of the creek’s headwaters.

Idaho Museum of Natural History to extend hours

POCATELLO  ­– The Idaho Museum of Natural History at Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV will extend its business hours beginning Aug. 18 to accommodate its customers’ needs, staying open late on Fridays and reopening early on Saturdays.

POCATELLO – Researchers at Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV are studying Gibson Jack Creek, located at a well-known and popular outdoor recreation area just outside of Pocatello, and a Salt Lake City-area stream to get a better insight on how streams cycle carbon – which has large implications for understanding climate change.
