ISU Museum of  Natural History researchers receive grant to digitally collect 50 of the world’s largest animals

POCATELLO – Whales, elephants and bears, oh my! – A team of scientific Noahs at the Idaho Museum of Natural History at Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV has been tasked to digitally collect the skeletons of 50 of the largest animals in the world.

ISU Institute of Rural Health seeks comment on statewide traumatic brain injury plan

MERIDIAN—Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV’s Institute of Rural Health has received a $450,000 grant from the federal Administration for Community Living to continue the development of a statewide action plan to address the needs of citizens living with a traumatic brain injury or TBI.

POCATELLO –A team of Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV researchers working at the Reynolds Creek Critical Zone Observatory in partnership with the USDA Agricultural Research Service has discovered a simple method for predicting the spatial distribution of soil thickness across a landscape.

POCATELLO – The public and educators can join Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV geosciences Associate Professor Shannon Kobs Nawotniak as researchers from NASA, NOAA and other partners explore the possibility of life on one of Saturn’s moons by sending unmanned submersibles down to study volcanoes on the Pacific Ocean’s sea floor.

ISU engineering teams with Idaho Transportation Department on testing low-cost, high-quality concrete used for bridge construction

POCATELLO­ – Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV civil engineers and the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) are teaming up on the second phase of testing of a new type of concrete material that will be installed between girders on a Highway 36 bridge over the Bear River near Preston.

POCATELLO  – Fourteen undergraduate students who paired with mentors to complete 10 weeks of intensive work as full-time biomedical researchers at Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV as part of the Idea Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE) Summer Fellowship program are heading to Moscow to present their findings.
